What can I print on my Bags?
Most bags are printed using screen printing, which is suitable for simple images up to about 6 colours.
Screen printing is equally successful on non-woven and natural fabrics.
For more complex (photo quality) images we usually use Heat (Thermal) Transfer printing :
Thermal Transfer Printing
This method uses heat to transfer a printed image from a paper sheet onto an imprintable surface.
Using high temperatures and heavy pressures for a certain amount of time, the transfer is permanently embedded into the product. Thermal transfer is ideal where a complex image is required (eg. with graduated colours or shadows) and can reproduce photo quality onto most fabrics.
The process is slower and therefore more expensive than screen printing, and unlike screen print, the cost of a thermal transfer image is directly proportional to the size of the image. Set-up costs for Thermal Transfer printing are relatively low but production cost is high.
In conclusion, if a complex image is required, heat transfer provides a fantastic result but at significant cost (can add up to 45 cents per bag). It also adds approx 1 week to the production lead time.
Here are close-up examples of thermal transfer printing and screen :

How long will it take to get my Bags?
The usual turnaround time is 8-12 weeks. Whilst we do guarantee to make and ship your bags within a certain deadline, it is obviously impossible to control port clearance times. Therefore whilst your bags will often arrive more quickly than expected, please do allow the full lead time on every order.
How will my bag look?
It is often difficult to visualise a certain style in a different colour, and how your logo will work best. So send us your artwork by email as a JPG or PDF file and we’ll mock-up your bag for you using our excellent graphic facilities – you will be amazed at how much easier it is to visualise your bag design when you have a picture of it.
For production of your bags we need a Vector format file - usually EPS or Illustrator.
How can I get them more quickly?
If you need your bags quickly we can use our Express Shipment service, this adds a little to the price, but reduces the lead-time to about 5 weeks.
What is the minimum number of bags I can order?
The minimum order quantity for bags made in our China factory is 1,000 per colour per style.
Can I change dimensions from the standard styles?
Yes - you have total control, you choose every dimension and print option.
I don’t see the style I really want - can I design my own bag?
Certainly – we are happy to work to your exact design.
Where are the bags made?
All our bags are made in Asia or the sub-continent (India). We regularly visit and inspect our factory to ensure ongoing good working conditions, high quality standards, adherence to safety standards and minimum wages regulations, please see our Ethical Sourcing Policy for more details.
